This Privacy Policy explains what information MyBrowser ("the App", "we", "us") collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. By using the App, you agree to the practices described here.
The App stores the following locally, using your device's storage. This information is never transmitted to us:
You can clear this data at any time from Settings → Clear browsing data, or by clearing individual bookmarks/history entries.
Pages you visit in an Incognito tab are not added to your browsing history and cannot be bookmarked. When an Incognito tab is closed, its cache, form data, and local browsing history for that tab are cleared. Note that Android's system WebView component shares a single cookie store across the app, so Incognito mode is a best-effort privacy tool rather than fully isolated browsing.
The App is supported by ads served through Google AdMob. To show ads, AdMob may collect and process:
This data is collected and processed by Google, not by us directly. You can learn more about how Google uses this data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
If you are located in the European Economic Area, the UK, or another region where consent is required, the App will show you a consent form before loading personalized ads, in accordance with Google's EU User Consent Policy. You can review or change your ad privacy choices at any time via the App menu → Privacy Options.
The App uses Android's built-in Safe Browsing feature, which checks pages you visit against Google's list of known malware and phishing sites before they load, and shows a warning if a match is found. This check is performed by the Android system's WebView component. Safe Browsing only screens for malware and phishing — it does not filter or block any other category of content.
Some websites (for example, video call or live-streaming sites) may ask to use your device's camera or microphone. The App only requests these permissions when a website you're visiting asks for them, and only after you're shown the standard Android permission prompt. Camera and microphone access is used solely to fulfill that website's request in the moment — the App does not access your camera or microphone in the background, and does not record, store, or transmit anything to us.
If a website has a file-upload feature (e.g. attaching a photo), the App will let you pick a file from your device using Android's standard file picker. Files you choose are sent directly to the website you're interacting with, not to us. Files you download are saved to your device's Downloads folder via Android's system Download Manager.
The App uses Google Play's In-App Update service to check whether a newer version is available and, if so, prompt you to update. This check is performed by Google Play and does not involve us collecting any additional personal data.
| Permission | Why it's needed |
|---|---|
| Internet | To load web pages and ads |
| Network state | To check connectivity before loading content |
| Storage (older Android versions only) | To save files you choose to download |
| Camera | Only requested when a website you visit asks for camera access |
| Microphone | Only requested when a website you visit asks for microphone access |
We do not sell your personal information. We do not operate backend servers that receive your browsing history, bookmarks, or downloads — that data stays on your device. The only third party involved in data processing is Google, through the AdMob, Safe Browsing, and Play In-App Update services described above.
The App is not directed at children under 13 (or the relevant minimum age in your region), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us using the details below so we can address it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
